The World Series of Poker is moving eastward, where it will spend ten days at Harrah's on the shores of Atlantic City. Between January 7th and the 18th, Harrah's will host ten Texas Hold'em events for the WSOP. Each tournament will span two days, with final tables being played on day two. The public is invited to participate in tournaments, which commence each day at noon.
The first two days' events will feature relatively affordable buy-ins, with the stakes rising progressively from day to day. The tournament's main event begins on the 16th, continuing until the final table is played on the 18th. The final table will be broadcast on ESPN.
The tournament will also include a number of additional games, such as a Women's Texas Hold'em championship, featuring $230 buy-ins. A number of super satellites will also be held. Satellites can be entered for $225, with re-buys being an option. Additionally, single-tab satellites will run 24-hours a day, on each day of the tournament.
Winners from the tournament can qualify for the WSOP finals, slated to be held in Las Vegas.
