With Texas Hold'em poker spreading like wildfire as of late, people seem not to be able to get enough. Lucky for Texas Hold'em fans, MForma Group, Inc. and WPT Enterprises are now making it possible to play Texas Hold'em anytime, anyplace. The two companies got together for the release of "World Poker Tour™ Texas Hold ‘Em," a multi-player electronic version of the game soon to be available for mobile phones.
The World Poker Tour (WPT), the highest rated series in the history of the Travel Channel, has helped widen the scope of poker's popularity. The mobile game maintains several features from the televised tournaments, as well as incorporating interaction with the show itself either through the game's WPT-styled applications or through promotions, offering players the chance to participate in WPT events.
The game allows players to compete against five other contenders, simulating a real six player table game. Prizes offered will include WPT themed products, as well as special grand prizes such as trips to view tapings of WPT, or even to participate in a WPT event. World Poker Tour™ Texas Hold ‘Em is expected to become available in North America in the coming month, and subsequent releases are also planned for Europe and Asia.
