This March, Oklahoma City will get ready to host the three-day Pro-Am Poker Players Expo (PAPPE), the kick-off event for Pro-Am Poker expo series slated to be held in cities across the United States starting in May. Each leg of the tour will last between six and eight weeks, with at least 50 cities expected to receive a visit from the PAPPE by the end of the tour.
The Oklahoma City kick-off will be held at Oklahoma's largest hotel, the Biltmore Hotel. The event will feature over 50 vendor tables each day. Vendors will include poker authors, casinos, poker affiliates and poker retailers. Poker retailers will offer a variety of goods, including t-shirts, books, chips, felts, video, dvds, apparel, posters, games, cd-roms, playing decks, card tricks, systems, magazines and much more. A special offer is currently available for vendors pre-ordering tables for all three days. Such vendors will receive tables free on the third day. Pre-paying vendors to register before March 1st will also receive free banner advertising on the expo's website until May 1st.
Guest speakers for the event will include poker author Gary Carson and retired poker pro Pody Poe. Although the conference is designed for dedicated poker enthusiasts, no actual poker playing will be permitted at the event or on its premises.
