Online gaming provider CYOP Systems International Inc. is moving forward with plans to seduce the budding Asian e-gaming market with its upcoming online poker offering. The company recently announced that it is in the crucial stages of developing a new "Asian Free Poker" site, which it hopes to release May 1st. Although the site will offer poker games for free, CYOP plans to earn revenues indirectly, though sale of advertising space as well as promotions and sponsorships commissioned by consumer businesses.
By 2008 the Asia-Pacific online gaming market are expected to explode, with earnings expected to reach approximately $1.84 billion that in that year. CYOP hopes to take advantage of this anticipated growth.
Regarding Asia's up-and-coming online gaming market, Mitch White, CEO of CYOP, noted, "Casual online game revenue in China was four times greater last year than 2003, and the number of player who go online continues to increase at a phenomenal rate. We believe that we will have one of the first solutions available to the Asian market, priming us to be an early leader in the Asian Poker marketplace."
