Online casino site Getminted.com recently announced a charity online poker tournament to raise money for Sport Aiding medical Research for Kids (SPARKS), a non-profit organization that funds medical research to benefit infants and children. UK actor Vinnie Jones, Getminted's celebrity spokesperson, will be joined by a number of other celebrities for the charity poker tournament, in which online poker players will get to compete head-to-head against the participating celebrities.
The charity online poker tournament will be held this Tuesday, May 24th. Online poker players wishing to participate can register at Getminted.com. The buy-in for tournament is £50, all of which will be donated to SPARKS. In total, Getminted hopes to raise at least £20,000 for charity. Although the main aim of Getminted's online poker tournament is to raise money for charity, it does offer a prize pool of £7,500, which has been donated by Getminted itself.
