In its second year, the annual Vegas Rock Star Poker Tournament and Sweepstakes is coming to Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort. The tournament event combines poker and rock and roll, capitalizing on the combination of casino gaming and live shows for which Vegas is famous. The tournament features a top prize of $10,000.
The weekend, slated for August 25th to 27th will kick off with a warm-up tutorial, given by Phil Gordon, the host of the moment for celebrity poker events, most famous for his current stint with Bravo's "Celebrity Poker Showdown." Following the tutorial, attendees will get the opportunity to meet the poker tournament's resident rock stars, Gene Simmons, Dave Navarro and Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell. Once the tournament comes to a close, winners will be treated to an elite after-party in the Palms' Real World Suite.
To enter the tournament, players can register for the sweepstakes at www.vegasrockstarpoker.com, the poker tournament's official site. Radio stations in New York, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Francisco will also give listeners the chance to win entry to the tournament.
