Poker tournament coordinator PokerEvents, announced that it has teamed up with online poker site Boylepoker.com to develop the upcoming Irish Poker Championships, which features the biggest prize pool for a tournament ever held in Ireland. In order to qualify for the Irish Championship's final event, dubbed the "All Ireland Poker Finals," players must either compete in land-based satellite tournaments, or qualify online.
Weekly satellite tournaments will be held, leading into regional super satellites, the top players of which moving on to the All Ireland Poker Finals, to compete for the €500,000 prize pool. Qualifying online poker tournaments are also being held online at Boylepoker.com, Irish bookmaker Boylesports' new online poker room.
Up to 500 players will be able to compete in the three-day tournament, and coordinators expect to draw big names from across Europe. The final event is slated to take place at the City West Hotel Dublin, on January 6th to 8th.
