If you needed more proof that poker has absolutely seeped into the world psyche, the game apparently has its hand in sexual innuendo, as well. At least, that's what CDA Strategies and Mayer Labs are banking on. Mayer Labs, the makers of Kimono brand condoms have launched an ad campaign in Canada, devised by CDA Strategies, which makes use of poker and sexual innuendo to market the condoms.
The said ad focuses on a foxy poker-playing female who, poor lass, has just played her very last chip. Fear not, however; our girl is resourceful and instead of succumbing to her impending defeat, she throws in a condom she just happened to have lying around, as her final chip. Her male opponent follows her move by going all-in with his massive, uh, chip stack, after which the ad's slogan, "When the Stakes are High," graces the screen.
Currently airing in Canada, the ad will make its U.S. debut in early October.
