Racing Against Cancer, an organization that raises money for the American Cancer Society and a number of other cancer-related charities, is getting ready to host its Fourth Annual Casino Night, and this year, the organization has planned to put a little poker action on the table. This year, the casino night will feature the "Jerry Nadeau Poker Challenge and Cruise," thanks to cooperation by Sugar Hill Speedway and the Racing Against Cancer™ Team. Master of ceremonies for the tournament will be none other than Nextel Cup driver Jerry Nadeau, himself.
In addition to Nadeau, other racers are also slated to make appearances, including Andy Santerre, Mike Stefanik, Brad Leighton, Dave Dion, Mike Olsen, Eddie MacDonald, Sean Caisse, Barney McRae, Kirk Alexander and Andy Seuss. A number of racers will be on hand for photo ops and autograph signings. Some drivers are even scheduled to compete in the poker tournament.
"The Jerry Nadeau Poker Challenge" will distribute 88 players among 11 tables, with each table seating at least one celeb driver. Racing fans will get to play no-limit hold'em against some of the biggest names in race car driving. The eight highest ranking players at the end of the tournament will qualify for cash and other prizes. The Fourth Annual Casino Night, complete with the Jerry Nadeau Poker Challenge, is scheduled for September 14, 2005.
