Nine-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) winner Phil Hellmuth has signed on to be the guest of honor at a charity Texas hold’em tournament hosted by the TASER Foundation, a charity benefiting the families of fallen law enforcement officers. The tournament, which will give ten players the chance to play poker with Hellmuth himself, is scheduled for Saturday, November 5 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Although only ten players will actually get to play with Phil, another hundred players will get some poker playing pointers from the poker pro. Players finishing in the top ten places will also be awarded prizes.
All of the poker tournament’s net proceeds will be donated directly to the families of law enforcement officers who fell in the line of duty.
"This is a unique opportunity to meet one of the best professional poker players in the world, learn tips and strategies and test your own poker skills all while supporting the families of those who have paid the ultimate price," noted Gerry Anderson, Executive Director of the TASER Foundation. "With Phil Hellmuth's support, we anticipate an exciting and successful event to support our fallen officers."
