Just about a week after New York Police busted "The Broadway Club," an underground poker club frequented by the likes of Phil Hellmuth and the Yankees' Alex Rodriguez, local authorities in the big apple have raided yet another illegal poker club with celebrity clientèle. The Ace Point Backgammon and Chess Studio operated out of an apartment on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Police reportedly happened upon the club after someone called, complaining of a "disorderly crowd" in the apartment.
The Sopranos' Robert Iler was unlucky enough to drop in for a bit of poker in the midst of the police raid. He and 30 other players were let go after police ran background checks and found them to be free of outstanding warrants. The club's seven dealers, however, did not fare as well, and were placed under arrest for charges of "promoting gambling."
