If you are in the Wichita, Kansas, area around Thanksgiving time, be sure to visit Old Town, which will be hosting their annual Five-Card Draw Pub Crawl. On the evening of November 23rd, locals and visitors are invited to take a stroll around Old Town Wichita and revel in the festive atmosphere of drink specials, free music. and an offbeat charity poker fundraiser.
For only $5, participants can visit the eight participating bars in Old Town and pick up one game card in each bar. Each player needs to make the best poker hand possible with five of the eight cards. The highest poker hand made at the end of the evening will win a hotel stay at the Sheraton in Kansas City. The next two highest poker hands will also receive prizes. To play, you must be 21 years old or over.
The evening's proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association, which assists patients with Lou Gehrig's disease. Budweiser, Bud Light, and the Wichita Area Phi Delta Theta Alumni Association will sponsor the evening festival.
