Zone4Play, Inc., an interactive software and technology provider, recently announced the live launch of the world's first Interactive TV Multi Player Texas Hold'em Poker. The new iTV game debuted on Five, the UK's fifth largest over-the-air casino channel. The game has been developed via Zone4Play's innovative Interactive TV software platform, and this is the first time an iTV multi player Texas Hold'em Poker has ever been deployed.
The service will first be offered on a play-for-fun basis, but will eventually be replaced by a play-for-real money application. Poker fans can find the iTV multi-player Texas Hold'em poker on SKY's interactive system, using the "Five" red button service. The game will also be offered on 3 additional channels within the next few months. Gamblers no longer have to leave their homes in order to participate in live poker tournaments.
Idan Miller, Senior VP of Marketing and Sales at Zone4Play was quoted as saying that the company is, "...delighted to be launching this service on 'Five' and providing viewers with an interactive Poker experience from the comfort of their living rooms. The potential for the deployment of our iTV product is vast. Being able to offer UK viewers with a truly interactive gaming experience is a huge step for the Company."
