As today's typical nudist is middle-aged, some colonies have engaged in efforts to recruit new, more youthful members. One such colony in Florida is using the new national pastime of poker to attract college co-eds. The carefree residents of Land O' Lakes Florida, which boasts no less than four nudist resorts, are hoping that the poker tournaments will boost their ranks with fresher faces and fannies.
To make the strip poker events more attractive to youths, who may not be comfortable with the idea of dressing down in public, participation for people aged 25 and under is free. Ironically, the winners of strip poker tournaments would remain at least partially clothed upon revealing what cards they have in the hole. And, though nudists traditionally bare all, t-shirts are among the prizes being awarded. One must wonder if older members of the colony intend to play hard against the collegiate newbies or instead soft-play in order to give them a leg up on the competition.
