Joining the ranks of notable online gaming companies such as 888.com, PartyGaming, and Empire Online, the Excapsa online poker network has just floated on London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM), part of the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Boasting a per share value of £1.10, the stock raised over £26 million in its first day of trading and is poised to keep growing. Excapsa stock trades under the symbol XCP.
Excapsa is best known for providing the gaming software that runs popular online poker rooms such as Ultimate Bet and Ultimate Poker, as well as the Aviation Club de France's online poker site. Excapsa officials stated that they intended to use the initial day's net gains of £22.4 million to help eliminate debt and as an additional cash resource for the company.
