It has been reported that two new poker rooms are likely to debut on the Las Vegas poker scene. With poker's popularity still showing no signs of leveling off, the addition of two new poker rooms is just Las Vegas' response to popular demand. The two casinos reportedly set to add poker rooms to their gaming offerings are Treasure Island and O' Shea's.
O' Shea's, a relatively small Strip-front casino property, lodged between the Flamingo and the Imperial Palace, can't really have much room to insert many poker tables on its premises. After all, the slot machine is still the king of profitability in Las Vegas, and O' Shea's management would probably not want to take up too much precious floor space with green felt. Treasure Island, on the other hand, is a Strip megaresort targeting a large middle-class demographic, which is sure to appreciate any new poker offerings. Regardless of how many tables the two casinos end up having in their new poker rooms, if, in fact, they intend to establish them at all, poker will be sure to lure in eager Las Vegas' gamblers wherever felt tables are to be found.
