Billionaire Calvin Ayre, the Canadian CEO of Internet gaming company Bodog.com, recently had some unexpected houseguests arrive at his Costa Rican mansion - the local police. Ayre's residence, also known as the Bodog Compound, is currently playing host to a reality poker television series. The cameras kept rolling as busloads of policemen descended on the $3.5 million private home. Reportedly, they were trying to uncover an illegal poker game taking place on the premises.
At the time that police raided the home, no poker games were taking place and the FOX Sports television crew was filming a party scene for the reality poker television show. Local authorities were reportedly alerted to the scene when Ayre's neighbors called in complaints about the noise level at the mansion. After the four-hour raid, in which police confiscated some files and laptop computers, Ayre moved the party to the nearby Intercontinental Hotel where the poker-playing reality TV cast continued "grinding it out" to hit music.
