Just a week before his Rapper's Challenge Texas Hold 'Em Tournament was scheduled to set sail, Snoop Dogg and five members of his entourage were arrested at Heathrow Airport and charged with "violent disorder and affray." Snoop was released on bail after he he spent a night in jail for his alleged involvement in a "heated" argument with staff of British Airways’ first-class lounge. The Rapper's Challenge poker event was slated for May 5 on a gambling barge sailing off the Port of Miami.
Just days before the celebrity poker tournament was supposed to be held, organizers announced that the event had been postponed. Hold 'Em Productions, the company coordinating the poker tournament, was reported as saying that the casino ship commissioned for the evening had lost its certification. The company said that the Rapper's Challenge Texas Hold 'Em Tournament will take place in November in the Bahama's instead. This postponement will give Snoop Dogg a break in what would have otherwise been a hectic week. Getting arrested on one continent, while having to host a poker tournament in another, just days later, might have been too much, even for Snoop.
