Harrah's Entertainment Inc., an industry-leading gaming and hotel operator, recently signed an agreement to prolong ESPN's coverage of the World Series of Poker events through 2010. Under the newly-signed agreement, ESPN will provide viewers with pay-per-view telecast of the final-table game at the $10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em World Championship.
The pay-per-view telecast will be offered on top of ESPN's regular television coverage of the poker series and the circuit championships. ESPN started covering this highly prestigious event back in 1993. The future coverage will include multiple attractions, such as table and tournament analysis, tournament updates and interviews with the best poker players.
Harrah's officials also announced that the casino company inked a deal for Miller Brewing Co.'s Milwaukee's Best Light to become the presenting sponsor and official beer of the poker tournament until 2008. The agreement comes into effect at this year's event at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas scheduled to commence on June 25th.
