The listings of poker sites accepting US players at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php had to officially drop PokerRoom.com and HollywoodPoker yesterday.
Most of the Ongame sites are now no longer taking US players. The choice to stop US real money play came weeks ago according to the US online poker updates page at Compatiblepoker.com but real money play was just now stopped.
Many of the Ongame Network sites will be jumping ship from the Ongame software and find refuge at another software provider. It has yet to be announced what software these conglomerate of skins will be using. According to the updates at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php officials have said it will not be an Absolute or an Ultimate Bet skin like many thought.
The next scheduled poker site to close down to the United States is expected to be Paradise Poker. They have already announced to stop real money play to US players but the final action will not be taken until November 13th.
Poker players in the United States can use this webpage released by Compatiblepoker to keep updated on all the legal issues and news regarding online poker. Currently the webpage has been referenced at EOG.com, Gambling911.com, Allinmag.com, PokerRoom.com forums, and many other reputable portals.
Hourly updates to the page will continue until all poker rooms have closed to the United States and the webpage is no longer needed which the owners hope won't be the case. The poker sites accepting American players and also sites which have closed down to the USA can officially be viewed at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php
