PokerRoomReview (http://www.PokerRoomReview.com) reports: It has almost been a month since JetSet Poker shut down their site, and thus far, we are only aware of a handful of people who have been paid among the numerous players who have written to us seeking help. Though their contact with players has been minimal, to say the least, some individuals have received e-mails stating that JetSet would settle all player accounts within 6-12 weeks. The way they shut down—giving players 5 minutes notice, as well as the fact they were accepting deposits right up until the moment they closed, is unsettling. The lack of transparency surrounding this organization is equally disturbing. All this is highly suggestive of a company who made the decision to cut and run and is now giving themselves plenty of time to cover their tracks.
Since their closing, we have been gathering information as to the principals in charge of this organization. Through our research and by corroborating information received from various sources, we have uncovered who the CEO is, the identity of the Vice President of Marketing, the attorney representing JetSet, their location, current e-mail addresses, as well as other pertinent info.
We have sent multiple e-mails asking them to make some official statement outlining a plan by which players will get paid, that the funds are in trust at such and such a bank, including the name of a person in charge of disbursement, and a timeline for the settlement of accounts, or a combination of any of the above. We also wrote that if funds will not be forthcoming from JetSet, and stressed we were in no way presuming or implying this, but if that is the case, PokerRoomReview could help by working with other poker rooms to transfer the player accounts and balances. We have yet to receive a single response.
What are we to make of all this? If their intentions are honorable, why don’t they come forth and say so? If they are planning to pay, why are they not assuring players that this is the case, sparing the frustration and worry players owed funds are currently experiencing? At this point, faith alone is not enough.
We are currently involved in discussions with legal experts as to what recourse may be available for affected players, and urge anyone who has worked for JetSet Poker to contact Help@PokerRoomReview.com to share whatever information they may deem useful, with the assurance we will respect the confidentiality of all those who respond.
