Dobrosoft was a privately held firm and has been in business since 2000 as one of the first software developers in the online poker space, developing multi-player gaming software for the online environment. The Dobrosoft team married traditional land-based gaming experience with cutting edge technology to deliver a multi-player gaming network solution that was ahead of its time.
Gibraltor (PRWeb) December 22, 2006 -- The assets of Gibraltar-based poker software firm Dobrosoft have been acquired by Digital Gaming Network, (DGN) which plans to elevate the company's profile and profits in the online gaming space. Dobrosoft's owners will be transitioning the management of the company to the new DGN management team over the next 90 days. Dobrosoft's rank and file software staff will be retained in the new venture. DGN has already invested heavily in infrastructure and human resources with the recruitment of several online poker industry executives and IT managers. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
"The company looks forward to having the additional resources and expertise that DGN can bring to the table to help the company grow in ways that can fulfill its longtime potential," said Dobrosoft's transitioning founder and CEO, Vinko Dobrosevic. "I am pleased to announce the sale to Digital Gaming Network. The new company will have the talent and experience to launch a new era for itself and its employees. Industry insiders will be taking notice very soon."
Digital Gaming Network, a privately held firm, has watched recent developments force gaming operators to seek out reliable and flexible platforms, especially in the online poker space. DGN sees the acquisition and further development of the core Dobrosoft platform as a key to solving many of the issues faced by operators in growing their poker business.
"Dobrosoft's core software platform and untapped market potential is a cornerstone of our efforts in creating a leading alternative to existing multi-player software networks" stated Nicole Sims spokesperson for DGN. "We have already invested heavily in operational infrastructure and upgrades to the products scalability. We will be working diligently to continue to build on this base and to take the product to a whole new level."
Today's announcement is the first of many Digital Gaming Network plans for the coming weeks and months as new clients embrace the platform and announce their involvement as network partners. The company expects its infusion of industry experience, business development skills and management expertise to take the product "to enhance the product even further to maximize the player experience."
Digital Gaming Network will test-drive its new features for industry executives from around the world at the huge ICE Show (International Casino Exhibition) in London, UK Jan. 23rd-25th.
