Ladbrokes recent online Poker festival has granted $25,000 in total to its winner James Sudworth from Canterbury, UK. The festival LEOCOP ran from the 26th of October until the 9th of November.
Aged only 22, James is now on his course to win a magnificent $1million in Ladbrokes Poker Million, a televised tournament to be shown on Sky Sports on the 2nd of December.
Known online as 'James666', he has been playing online poker for only a few years. James studied Media for A levels. He laughs stating ''and then got a job as a Bar Manager, but was introduced to poker one night in my local. Its such fun playing I never looked back.''
He's already won over £200,000 in cash and prizes, using his winning to support his mother whose studying speech therapy.
James won over £10,000 last Sunday with three of a kind '6s'. His past wins include Ladbrokes Poker Caribbean cruise as well as poker trips to Madrid and Killarney in Ireland. As well as this he's off again with Ladbrokes to see the Ricky Hatton fight in Las Vegas later this month.
James has plans to move to Beverly Hills but meanwhile he's in no hurry to spend his cash. He's invested some of his winnings in a short film about success and Kent directed by his friend. It's due to be aired shortly on Channel 4 [British Television]
