Arraignment Slated for Poker Players (OPN Staff)
An arraignment date was set for participants in a December 4th poker tournament that was raided by authorities at a nightclub in Texas City. Gambling is considered a class C misdemeanor in Texas, and said gamblers could face fines if found guilty.
The accused will have the option to plead either no contest, in hopes of being granted a reduced fine, or not guilty, which will bring the individual's case before a jury. The arraignment is slated for late January.
